Snibox is a cross-platform snippet manager that allows you to save and organize your code snippets, notes, and other information in an efficient manner. In this tutorial, we will go through the steps required to install Snibox on MXLinux.
Git is a version control system that is required by Snibox. Open the terminal and enter the following command to install git:
sudo apt-get install git
You may be prompted to enter your password, so enter it and then press enter.
The next step is to clone the Snibox repository from GitHub. To do this, enter the following command in the terminal:
git clone https://github.com/snibox/snibox.git
This will download the latest version of Snibox from the GitHub repository.
Snibox requires several dependencies in order to function properly. These dependencies can be installed using the following command:
sudo apt-get install libgtk-3-dev libwebkit2gtk-4.0-dev libsqlite3-dev
After downloading the Snibox repository and its dependencies, it's time to build Snibox. Navigate to the Snibox directory using the terminal and enter the following command:
make
This will compile the code and create an executable file.
Once the compilation process is complete, Snibox is ready to use. To launch Snibox, navigate to the Snibox directory and enter the following command:
./snibox
This will launch Snibox and you can start adding your snippets and notes.
That's it! You have successfully installed Snibox on MXLinux. You can now use Snibox to manage your code snippets, notes and other information in a simple and efficient manner.
