In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing TextMate on the latest version of MXLinux. We will be using the official TextMate repository from GitHub.

Before installing TextMate, you need to make sure that your system has all the required dependencies. Open the terminal and run the following command:

git clone https://github.com/textmate/textmate.git
Now that the repository has been cloned, navigate to the cloned repository directory using the terminal:
cd textmate
Next, run the following command to build and install TextMate:
rake && sudo mv assembled/TextMate.app /Applications/
This will build and install TextMate on your system.
You can now open TextMate by running the following command in the terminal:
open /Applications/TextMate.app
Alternatively, you can search for TextMate in the application menu and launch it from there.
