Step 1: Open the Terminal
First, we need to open the terminal on MXLinux. To do this, click on the "Menu" button on the bottom left corner of the desktop and type "Terminal" in the search bar. Click on the Terminal icon to open it.
Step 2: Download Bin from GitHub
In the terminal, type the following command to download the Bin repository from GitHub:
$ git clone https://github.com/w4/bin.git
This will download the Bin repository from GitHub to your current directory.
Step 3: Install Bin
Next, navigate to the Bin directory by typing:
$ cd bin
Then, run the installation script by typing:
$ sudo ./install
This will run the installation script with root privileges and install Bin on your system.
Step 4: Verify the Installation
To verify that Bin has been installed successfully, type the following command in the terminal:
$ bin
If everything was installed correctly, you should see the help menu for the Bin command-line tool.
Congratulations, you have successfully installed Bin on MXLinux!
