Cozy Cloud is an open-source personal cloud server that allows you to store and organize your data on your own server. Here is a step-by-step guide to installing Cozy Cloud on your Manjaro Linux machine.
Before installing Cozy Cloud, make sure that you have the following prerequisites installed on your Manjaro machine:
If these are not yet installed, you can easily install them using the following commands:
sudo pacman -S docker
sudo pacman -S docker-compose
sudo pacman -S git
Once you have installed the prerequisites, follow these steps to install Cozy Cloud:
Clone the Cozy Docker repository.
git clone https://github.com/cozy/cozy-docker.git
Navigate into the cloned repository.
cd cozy-docker
Create the necessary directories for Cozy Cloud.
sudo mkdir -p /etc/cozy
sudo mkdir -p /var/cozy/data
sudo mkdir -p /var/cozy/logs
sudo mkdir -p /var/cozy/postgres
sudo mkdir -p /var/cozy/elasticsearch
Create an environment file for Cozy Cloud.
sudo nano /etc/cozy/cloud.env
Add the following environment variables to the file:
COZY_DOMAIN_NAME=example.com
COZY_ADMIN_PASSWORD=yourpassword
COZY_STACK_VERSION=latest
Replace example.com
with your own domain name and yourpassword
with a secure password for your Cozy Cloud administrator account.
Start the Cozy Cloud stack.
sudo docker-compose up -d
This will start the Cozy Cloud stack in daemon mode.
Wait for the installation to complete.
It may take a few minutes for the installation to complete. You can monitor the progress by running:
sudo docker logs -f cozy-stack
Access Cozy Cloud.
Once the installation is complete, you can access Cozy Cloud by navigating to https://example.com
. Replace example.com
with your own domain name.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Cozy Cloud on your Manjaro Linux machine. You can now start storing and organizing your data on your own personal cloud server.
