EdMon is an open-source network traffic capture and analysis tool written in Python. In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the steps of installing EdMon on Manjaro.
Before installing EdMon, you need to install some dependencies on your system. Open the terminal and run the following command:
sudo pacman -S libtins
This command will install the libtins library on your Manjaro system.
The next step is to clone the EdMon repository from Github. Open the terminal and run the following command:
git clone https://github.com/Edraens/EdMon.git
This command will download the EdMon repository in your current directory.
Once you have cloned the EdMon repository, navigate to the EdMon directory using the following command:
cd EdMon
Next, install the required Python dependencies using the following command:
pip3 install -r requirements.txt
After the dependencies have been installed, you can now run EdMon using the following command:
sudo python3 edmon.py
You will be prompted for the interface to capture network traffic. Select the interface you want to capture the traffic on and press Enter.
You have successfully installed EdMon on Manjaro. You can now use EdMon to capture and analyze network traffic.
