Logstash is an open source tool that is part of the Elastic stack used for centralized log management. In this tutorial, we will learn how to install Logstash on Manjaro.
Logstash requires Java to be installed on the system. You can install it by running the following command:
sudo pacman -S jdk8-openjdk
tar -xvzf logstash-<version>.tar.gz
sudo mv logstash-<version> /opt/
echo 'export PATH=/opt/logstash-<version>/bin:$PATH' >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc
logstash -V
This will print the version information of Logstash.
