Nomad is a cluster manager and scheduler that can be used to deploy and manage applications at scale. Here are the steps to install Nomad on Manjaro.
Open the terminal and run the following command to update the package manager:
sudo pacman -Syu
Download the latest stable release of Nomad from the official website. You can also use the following command to download the latest release:
wget https://releases.hashicorp.com/nomad/<version>/nomad_<version>_linux_amd64.zip
Replace <version>
with the latest version number.
Extract the downloaded file using the following command:
unzip nomad_<version>_linux_amd64.zip
To make the Nomad binary globally available, it needs to be moved to a directory in the PATH. The recommended path is /usr/local/bin
. To move the binary file run the following command:
sudo mv nomad /usr/local/bin/
Verify the Nomad installation by running the following command:
nomad version
You will see the Nomad version number if the installation was successful.
