How to Install Sorry Cypress on Manjaro

Sorry Cypress is an open-source, on-premise, and fast end-to-end testing tool for web applications. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to install Sorry Cypress on Manjaro with easy-to-follow steps.

Prerequisites

• Manjaro installed on your computer.
• Node.js and npm (Node Package Manager) installed on your computer.

Installation Steps

1. Open your terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T or through the Manjaro application menu.

2. Update your package database to ensure that you install the latest version of Sorry Cypress:

   sudo pacman -Syy
   

3. Install the required dependencies:

   sudo pacman -S git curl openssl gcc make pkg-config libx11 libxkbfile libsecret libnss gconf yarn
   

4. Install the Sorry Cypress CLI:

   yarn global add sorry-cypress
   

5. Initialize the Sorry Cypress repository:

   sorry-cypress init
   

6. Start the Sorry Cypress dashboard:

   sorry-cypress dashboard
   

   This will start the Sorry Cypress dashboard on port 8080. You can access it via your web browser at http://localhost:8080.

7. In a new terminal window, start the Sorry Cypress test runner:

   sorry-cypress run
