How to Install Tolgee on Manjaro

Tolgee is a localization platform that makes it easy to manage and coordinate translations for your web applications. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to install Tolgee on Manjaro.

Step 1: Install NodeJS

The first step is to install NodeJS, which is required by Tolgee. You can use the following command in the terminal to install NodeJS:

sudo pacman -S nodejs

Step 2: Install Tolgee CLI

Next, you need to install the Tolgee CLI package. You can do this by running the following command:

sudo npm install -g @tolgee/cli

Step 3: Create a project

Now that Tolgee CLI is installed, it's time to create a new project. You can choose any name for your project, but for this tutorial, we will use the name "my-tolgee-project".

Run the following command to create a new Tolgee project:

tolgee create-project my-tolgee-project

Step 4: Start Tolgee server

Now that your Tolgee project is created, you can start the Tolgee server by running the following command:

cd my-tolgee-project
tolgee --serve

The Tolgee server is now running at http://localhost:3000.

Step 5: Test Tolgee

Open a web browser window and navigate to http://localhost:3000. You should now see the Tolgee login page. You can use the default credentials to log in:

Username: admin Password: admin

Once you are logged in, you can start managing your translations.
