Step 1: Update System
Before you begin, it's important to update your system:
sudo pkgin update && sudo pkgin full-upgrade
Step 2: Install Dependencies
To install Mindustry on NetBSD, you need to install a few dependencies. Run the following command in a terminal:
sudo pkgin install openjdk8 git
Step 3: Download Mindustry
Once the installation of dependencies is complete, you can download the Mindustry game to your system. Use the following command to clone the Mindustry repository:
git clone https://github.com/Anuken/Mindustry.git
Step 4: Run Mindustry
With the repository cloned, you can now navigate to the downloaded directory and run the game with the following command:
cd Mindustry
./gradlew desktop:run
This command will compile and start Mindustry. If everything was done correctly, the game should launch automatically, and you should be able to play Mindustry on your NetBSD system.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Mindustry on your NetBSD system.
