Papercups is an open-source messaging platform that allows businesses to offer customer support through various communication channels, including chat, email, SMS, and more. In this tutorial, we will go over the steps to install Papercups on NetBSD.
Before we begin, ensure that you have:
Papercups requires Node.js and Yarn to be installed on your NetBSD server.
You can install Node.js by running the following commands:
pkgin update
pkgin install nodejs
To install Yarn, run:
npm install -g yarn
Next, we need to clone the Papercups repository on our server. Navigate to your desired directory and run the following command:
git clone https://github.com/papercups-io/papercups.git
Before we configure Papercups, we need to create a .env file.
cd papercups
cp .env.example .env
Next, open the .env file with your favorite text editor and update the following variables:
DATABASE_URL
REDIS_URL
HOSTNAME
MAILGUN_DOMAIN
MAILGUN_API_KEY
Papercups requires several dependencies to be installed before running. Navigate to the Papercups directory and run:
yarn install
Finally, to run Papercups, execute the following command:
yarn dev
This command will initiate the development server.
