QuickShare is a tool for quickly sharing files on a local network. This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing QuickShare on NetBSD.
Before we begin, make sure you have the following:
QuickShare requires nodejs
and npm
to be installed. Run the following command to install them:
sudo pkgin install nodejs npm
Clone the QuickShare repository from GitHub using the following command:
git clone https://github.com/ihexxa/quickshare.git
This will clone the repository to a new directory named quickshare
.
Change your working directory to the quickshare
directory using the following command:
cd quickshare
Install the required packages by running the following command:
npm install
Start QuickShare by running the following command:
npm start
QuickShare should now be running on your NetBSD system. You can access it by navigating to http://localhost:3000
in your web browser.
