In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to install Shhh, a simple command-line tool for securely storing secrets, on NetBSD.
Before we begin, please make sure you have the following installed on your NetBSD system:
Open your terminal and run the following command to clone the Shhh repository from GitHub:
git clone https://github.com/smallwat3r/shhh.git
Navigate to the cloned repository by running the following command:
cd shhh
Next, build Shhh by running the following command:
go build
After the build is complete, move the Shhh executable to the /usr/local/bin
directory by running the following command:
sudo mv shhh /usr/local/bin
Finally, test Shhh by running the following command:
shhh
If you receive the message "No secrets found", then Shhh is successfully installed on your NetBSD system.
