This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing Tolgee on NetBSD. Tolgee is a localization platform that allows you to easily manage and translate your projects.
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
Tolgee requires Node.js to be installed on your NetBSD machine. To install it, use the package manager pkgin
:
# pkgin update
# pkgin install nodejs
Verify that Node.js has been installed by running the following command:
$ node -v
This should output the version of Node.js you just installed.
Download the latest version of Tolgee from the official website: https://tolgee.io. Once downloaded, extract the contents of the archive to a directory of your choice.
$ tar xvzf tolgee-x.x.x.tar.gz
Navigate to the extracted directory:
$ cd tolgee-x.x.x
Before starting Tolgee, you need to configure it.
Open the config.json
file with your preferred text editor:
$ nano config.json
In this file, you need to specify the path to your project's root directory. Replace /path/to/your/project
with the path to your project's root directory:
{
"rootDir": "/path/to/your/project"
}
Save and close the file.
To start Tolgee, run the following command:
$ node app.js
You should see output similar to the following:
Server running at http://localhost:3000
Open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000
. You should see the Tolgee dashboard.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Tolgee on NetBSD. You can now start managing and translating your projects.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
