Tutorial: How to Install Uploady on NetBSD

In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing Uploady on NetBSD. Uploady is an open source file upload library that helps you to securely upload and store files in the cloud.

Step 1: Install Python and Pip

Before installing Uploady, you need to install Python and Pip on your NetBSD system.

To install Python, run the following command:

pkg_add python

To install Pip, run the following command:

pkg_add py-pip

Step 2: Install Uploady

Once you have installed Python and Pip, you can install Uploady by running the following command:

pip install uploady

Step 3: Configure Uploady

After installing Uploady, you need to configure it to work with your NetBSD system.

Create a new Python file, let's call it upload.py, and add the following code:

from uploady import Uploady

uploader = Uploady(
    "your_storage_name",
    "your_access_key",
    "your_secret_key",
    "your_bucket_name",
    "your_region_name"
)

uploader.upload("file_path", "file_name")

Replace the your_storage_name, your_access_key, your_secret_key, your_bucket_name, and your_region_name with your own information.

Step 4: Run Uploady

To run Uploady, simply navigate to the directory where you saved the upload.py file and run the following command:

python upload.py

Uploady will upload the file specified in the code to your storage provider.

Congratulations! You have successfully installed and configured Uploady on NetBSD. You can now use it to securely upload and store files in the cloud.

If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!

Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
