This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing nsedit on NetBSD.
Before you begin, ensure that you have met the following requirements:
Nsedit requires the pkgsrc
package manager to install its dependencies. You can install pkgsrc
by following these steps:
Open a terminal window.
Run the following command to download pkgsrc
:
$ git clone git://github.com/pkgsrc/pkgsrc.git
Change the current directory to the pkgsrc
directory:
$ cd pkgsrc
Install pkgsrc
:
$ ./bootstrap/bootstrap --unprivileged
Now that pkgsrc
is installed, you can proceed with installing the dependencies required by nsedit. You can do this by running the following command:
$ cd /usr/pkgsrc/editors/nsedit
$ bmake install clean
This will download and install all the packages required by nsedit.

Run the following command to check if nsedit is available:
$ nsedit
