DREBS is a Docker-based backup solution that can be used to backup various platforms, databases, and servers. In this tutorial, we will go through the steps to install DREBS on OpenBSD.
Before we start, make sure that you have the following requirements:
If you have not installed Docker on your OpenBSD system, you can do so by running the following command:
sudo pkg_add docker
Start the Docker service by running:
sudo rcctl enable docker
sudo rcctl start docker
Navigate to the directory where you want to install DREBS and clone the DREBS repository by running:
git clone https://github.com/dojo4/drebs.git
This will create a new directory called drebs
.
Navigate to the drebs
directory and run:
sudo ./install.sh
This will install DREBS on your OpenBSD system.
After installation, navigate to the drebs
directory and edit the drebs.env
file using your preferred text editor:
sudo nano drebs.env
In this file, you can configure the backup settings for the platforms, servers, and databases that you want to backup.
Save the changes to the file and exit the text editor.
To start DREBS, navigate to the drebs
directory and run:
sudo ./start.sh
This will start the DREBS Docker containers and the backup process will begin.
