How to Install StoneAge Messenger on OpenBSD

This tutorial will guide you through the steps required to install StoneAge Messenger on an OpenBSD system.

Requirements

Installation Steps

  1. Open a terminal window on your OpenBSD system.

  2. Install the following dependencies:

$ sudo pkg_add gcc git gmake openssl
  1. Clone the StoneAge Messenger source code from GitLab:
$ git clone https://gitlab.com/cweb/StoneAge.git
  1. Navigate to the StoneAge Messenger directory:
$ cd StoneAge
  1. Compile and install the StoneAge Messenger software using the Makefile:
$ make && sudo make install
  1. Verify that StoneAge Messenger has been installed and is working properly:
$ stoneagemsg

If StoneAge Messenger is working, you will be prompted to enter your username and password. Once you have successfully authenticated, you will be able to use the StoneAge Messenger software.
