This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing Woodpecker, a continuous integration tool, on OpenBSD.
Before starting the installation process, make sure that you have the following prerequisites:
Woodpecker requires several dependencies to function properly. Use the following command to install the dependencies:
$ doas pkg_add python3 git py3-pip
After installing the dependencies, use the following command to install Woodpecker:
$ doas pip3 install woodpecker-cli
Next, you need to configure Woodpecker. In the terminal, run the following command:
$ wdp init
This command will prompt you with several questions to define your settings for Woodpecker. You can accept the default settings by pressing Enter when prompted.
Once Woodpecker is installed and configured, use the following command to start Woodpecker:
$ wdp start
This will start the Woodpecker service on your machine. You can access the Woodpecker web interface via a web browser using the IP address of your machine and port 8000 (e.g. http://192.168.0.1:8000).
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Woodpecker on your OpenBSD machine. You can now use Woodpecker to automate your continuous integration process.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
