dillinger.io/">Dillinger is a cloud-based markdown editor that allows you to create and edit markdown files from your web browser. This tutorial will guide you through the steps to install Dillinger on OpenBSD operating system.
Before installing Dillinger, you should update your system packages and install some dependencies.
To do this, open the terminal window and type the following command:
$ doas pkg_add yarn
This will install the Yarn package manager on your OpenBSD system.
Next, update the system packages by running:
$ doas pkg_add -u
Once the system packages are updated, you can install the following dependencies by running:
$ doas pkg_add node
After installing the dependencies, you can clone the Dillinger repository to your system by running the following command on your terminal:
$ git clone https://github.com/joemccann/dillinger.git
Then, navigate to the cloned Dillinger directory using the cd command:
$ cd dillinger
Once you are in the Dillinger directory, install the dependencies by running:
$ yarn install --production
This command will install all the required packages for Dillinger to run properly.
In order to launch Dillinger, run the following command:
$ yarn run build && PORT=8000 node app
This command will build the application and start the server on port 8000.
To access Dillinger, open a web browser and visit http://localhost:8000.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Dillinger on your OpenBSD system.
