Snipt is a command-line tool that simplifies the process of sharing text snippets. It is available on Github at snipt">https://github.com/nicksergeant/snipt. In this tutorial, we will show you how to install Snipt on OpenBSD.
Before we proceed with the installation, you must have the following:
sudo pkg_add -u
sudo pkg_add ruby curl
sudo gem install bundler
git clone https://github.com/nicksergeant/snipt.git
cd snipt
bundle install
cp config/.snipt.sample config/.sniptrc
vi config/.sniptrc
sudo ln -s $(pwd)/bin/snipt /usr/local/bin/snipt
snipt --help
You have successfully installed Snipt on your OpenBSD system. You can now use the tool to share text snippets with your team or the Snipt community.
