Chirpy is a web development tool that runs on Node.js. In this tutorial, we will go through the steps to install Chirpy on OpenSUSE.
Open a terminal and ensure that you have Node.js installed on your system by running the following command:
node -v
If Node.js is already installed, you should see the version number. If not, install Node.js by running:
sudo zypper install nodejs
Install npm by running:
sudo zypper install npm
Install Chirpy by running:
sudo npm install -g chirpy
Verify that you have installed Chirpy correctly by running:
chirpy -v
You should see the version number of Chirpy.
To use Chirpy, navigate to your project folder and run:
chirpy serve
This will start a local web server and open your project in the browser.
