NymphCast is an open-source software that allows you to stream media over your local network. This tutorial will show you how to install NymphCast on OpenSUSE.
Before starting, make sure you have the following:
Open the terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T
.
Type the command below to add the repository:
sudo zypper addrepo --refresh http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:nyankov/openSUSE_Leap_15.2/home:nyankov.repo
Press Enter
to execute the command.
Type the following command to install NymphCast:
sudo zypper install nymphcast
Press Enter
to execute the command.
Type the following command to start the service:
sudo systemctl start nymphcast
Press Enter
to execute the command.
Type the following command to enable the service to start automatically on boot:
sudo systemctl enable nymphcast
Press Enter
to execute the command.
Type the following command to verify if NymphCast is running:
sudo systemctl status nymphcast
Press Enter
to execute the command.
If the service is running, you should see a message indicating that the service is active.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed NymphCast on OpenSUSE. You can now use it to stream media over your local network.
