In this tutorial, we will cover the process of installing Podgrab on OpenSUSE. Podgrab is a podcast downloader and aggregator developed by Akhil Raj.
Before starting with the installation process, ensure that you have the following:
Podgrab requires a few dependencies to be installed on your system. Use the following command to install them:
sudo zypper install -y git curl wget unzip tar perl
Use the following command to clone the Podgrab repository:
git clone https://github.com/akhilrex/podgrab.git
Navigate to the cloned directory using the following command:
cd podgrab
Run the installation script as follows:
sudo bash install.sh
The installation script will install Podgrab and configure the required dependencies.
After Podgrab installation is complete, you need to update the podcast list manually. To do so, use the following command:
podgrab -U
This command will update the list of available podcasts.
To download a podcast, use the following command:
podgrab -d podcast_name
Replace podcast_name with the desired name of the podcast.
