TextMate is a popular text editor for macOS. However, it is also available for OpenSUSE Linux. In this tutorial, we will show you how to install TextMate on OpenSUSE latest version.
Before proceeding with the installation of TextMate, make sure that your system has the required packages.
sudo zypper install git curl build-essential libssl-dev libffi-dev python-dev python3-pip
Next, you need to clone the TextMate repository to your local machine.
git clone https://github.com/textmate/textmate.git
Once you have cloned the TextMate repository, you need to install the dependencies.
cd textmate && ./configure && make
After installing the dependencies, you can proceed with the installation of TextMate.
sudo make install
Finally, you can launch TextMate by typing the following command in the Terminal:
textmate
