Atomic Server is a Rust-based platform that allows you to interface with atomic data. In this tutorial, we will be showing you how to install Atomic Server on the latest version of POP! OS using Rust's Cargo package manager.
First, ensure that you have the following prerequisites installed on your system:
If you do not have Rust or Cargo installed, you can install them using the following commands:
$ curl https://sh.rustup.rs -sSf | sh
$ source $HOME/.cargo/env
Once Rust and Cargo are installed, you can proceed with the installation process for Atomic Server.
$ git clone https://github.com/atomicdata-dev/atomic-data-rust.git
$ cd atomic-data-rust/server
$ cargo build --release --bin atomic-server
This command will compile the Atomic Server project and create the atomic-server
binary. This binary will be located in the target/release
directory.
$ ./target/release/atomic-server
This command will start the Atomic Server on your system. You can access the server by navigating to http://localhost:3030
in your web browser.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Atomic Server on your POP! OS system. You can now start interfacing with atomic data using the powerful features that Atomic Server provides.
