Black Candy is a dark GTK theme created specifically for GNOME desktops. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing Black Candy on the latest version of POP! OS.
Before getting started, make sure that you have:
The first step is to download the Black Candy theme from GitHub. To download the theme, open Terminal and execute the following command:
git clone https://github.com/blackcandy-org/black_candy.git
This will download the Black Candy theme to your current directory.
In order for the Black Candy theme to work properly, we need to install some required packages. To install the packages, execute the following command in Terminal:
sudo apt-get install gnome-themes-extra
This command will install the required packages.
Install the Tweaks application from the Pop Shop if you do not already have it installed.
Open the Tweaks app and go to the “Appearance” tab.
In the “Applications” section, click the “Choose Theme” button and navigate to the directory where you downloaded the Black Candy theme.
Select the “Black-Candy” folder and click “Open” to apply the theme.
That's it! You have successfully installed the Black Candy theme on the latest version of POP! OS. Enjoy the new dark theme look for your GNOME desktop.
