Capistrano is an open-source tool for executing scripts on remote servers. This tutorial will guide you through the steps to install Capistrano onto the latest version of POP! OS.
Click on the "Activities" button (top left corner) and search for "Terminal". Alternatively, you can press "Ctrl + Alt + T" to open a new terminal window.
Capistrano requires Ruby to be installed on your system. To install Ruby, enter the following command in your terminal:
sudo apt-get install ruby-full
You will be prompted for your password during the installation process. Enter your password and press Enter.
Once Ruby is installed, you can install Capistrano by entering the following command in your terminal:
gem install capistrano
This will download and install the latest version of Capistrano.
To verify that Capistrano has been installed correctly, enter the following command:
cap --version
This will display the version of Capistrano that has been installed on your system.
