Install DD-WRT on POP! OS Latest

Requirements

Download DD-WRT

  1. Visit the DD-WRT website at https://dd-wrt.com/ and click on "Router Database".

  2. Search for your router model and download the latest DD-WRT firmware file.

Connect to your Router

  1. Connect your computer to the router using an Ethernet cable.

  2. Open a web browser and enter your router's IP address in the address bar. The default IP address is usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.

  3. Enter your login credentials to access the router settings. The login details are usually on the router label.

Install DD-WRT

  1. Navigate to the router firmware upgrade section.

  2. Browse and select the DD-WRT firmware file you downloaded earlier.

  3. Click "Upgrade" and wait for the installation process to complete. Do not interrupt the process or turn off the router during installation.

  4. After the installation is complete, access the DD-WRT interface by entering the new IP address, usually 192.168.1.1, in the web browser.

  5. Set up the DD-WRT firmware according to your preferences.
