Enigma Reloaded is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu that is designed for use in automotive computers, mobile navigation devices, and other embedded systems. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps to install Enigma Reloaded on Pop!_OS Latest.
Before you start, make sure to back up any important data on your computer. Also, it is recommended that you perform this installation on a test machine rather than your primary device.
Let's get started.
You can download the latest release of Enigma Reloaded from its official Github repository at https://github.com/enigma-reloaded/enigma-reloaded. Choose the version that matches your system architecture, either 32-bit or 64-bit.
Once you have downloaded the Enigma Reloaded image, you need to create a bootable USB drive. You can use tools like Etcher, Rufus or Balena Etcher to create a bootable USB.
Note: These instructions are for Etcher. The process for other tools may vary slightly.
First, insert a USB drive with at least 4GB of free space into your computer. Then, launch Etcher and select the Enigma Reloaded image that you downloaded in Step 1. Next, select the USB drive as the target device and click on "Flash" to start the process.
Once the bootable USB is ready, you need to boot your computer from the USB drive. Reboot your machine and enter the BIOS or UEFI settings. Navigate to the boot device menu and select the USB drive as the first boot option.
Save your changes and exit the BIOS or UEFI settings. Your computer will now boot from the Enigma Reloaded USB.
After booting from the Enigma Reloaded USB, you will see the installation wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts to install Enigma Reloaded.
Choose your language, time zone, and keyboard layout. Then, select the installation type. If you want to erase the entire disk, choose the "Erase Disk and Install Enigma Reloaded" option. If you want to install Enigma Reloaded alongside another operating system, choose the "Install Enigma Reloaded Alongside [the other OS]" option.
Once you have selected the installation type, click on "Install Now" to start the installation process.
During the installation, you will be prompted to create a user account and password. Once the installation is complete, remove the USB drive and reboot your computer.
