Inventaire is a free open-source platform that allows users to create and share an inventory of their personal library. Follow the below steps to install Inventaire on your POP! OS latest system.
First, download the latest package of Inventaire from their website. You can do this by navigating to https://inventaire.io/welcome and clicking on "Get Started."
Once you have landed on the "Download" page, select the appropriate package for your system. In our case, select Linux as the operating system, and then click on "Download." Save the downloaded package to your desired location.
Inventaire requires several dependencies to work correctly. To install these dependencies, open the terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T on your keyboard or through the application launcher.
Once the terminal is open, run the below command:
sudo apt install libgconf-2-4 libxtst6 libxss1 libnss3 dbus-x11
This command will install all the necessary dependencies required for Inventaire to run on your system.
After installing the dependencies, open the file manager, and navigate to the directory where you saved the downloaded Inventaire package.
Right-click on the downloaded package and select "Extract Here" from the context menu. Once extracted, open the newly created directory.
In the directory, you should have a file named "Inventaire." Right-click on the file and select "Properties" from the context menu.
In the "Properties" window, go to the "Permissions" tab and select "Allow executing file as program." Click on "Close."
Now, double-click on the "Inventaire" file to launch the Inventaire application.
Once the application launches, you will be prompted to either "Login" or "Create account." If you do not have an Inventaire account, click on "Create account" and follow the instructions to create a new account.
If you already have an account, click on "Login" and enter your credentials to log in.
Inventaire is now installed and ready to use on your POP! OS latest system. You can now start building and sharing your personal library inventory.
