Photonix is an open-source image management software that allows you to manage your photos and videos on your computer easily. It is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows operating systems. In this tutorial, we will explain how to install Photonix on POP! OS Linux.

Follow the steps below to install Photonix on your POP! OS system:
Go to the Photonix website at https://photonix.org/ and download the latest version of the Linux installer.
Press the Ctrl+Alt+T
keys on your keyboard to open the Terminal.
By default, the downloaded files are stored in the Downloads folder. You can navigate to the Downloads folder by typing the command below and pressing the Enter
key:
cd ~/Downloads
The Photonix installer file is not executable by default. You need to make it executable before you can run it. To make the installer executable, enter the following command and press the Enter
key:
chmod +x photonix_linux_*.bin
To run the Photonix installer, run the following command:
sudo ./photonix_linux_*.bin
Replace the *
with the version of the installer you downloaded.
The installation wizard will guide you through the installation process. Follow the prompts and accept the default options to complete the installation.
After the installation process is completed, you can launch Photonix by clicking on the Photonix
icon in the Applications menu, or by typing Photonix
in the search bar and clicking the icon.
Congratulations! You have installed Photonix on your POP! OS Linux. You can now use Photonix to manage your photos and videos on your computer easily.
