How to install Sourcegraph on POP! OS

This tutorial will guide you through the installation process of Sourcegraph on POP! OS latest version.

Steps

  1. Download the Sourcegraph install script by entering the following command in your terminal:

    $ curl -L https://install.sourcegraph.com | bash
    
  2. The installer will check if your system meets the minimum requirements and ask for permission to install the required packages. Press Enter to continue with the installation.

  3. Once the installation is complete, you will be prompted to enter your Sourcegraph instance URL. Enter the URL you want to use for your instance, like https://my-sourcegraph.example.com.

  4. If you don't have a SSL certificate, you will be prompted to create one. Enter the details required to create an SSL certificate.

  5. After the SSL certificate is created, you will be prompted to restart the Sourcegraph instance with the following command:

    $ systemctl restart sourcegraph
    
  6. Verify the installation by visiting your Sourcegraph instance URL in a web browser.
