Before installing Hiawatha, make sure your system is up-to-date. To update the package list, run the following command:
sudo apt update
To install Hiawatha, use the command:
sudo apt install hiawatha -y
The -y flag will automatically answer "Yes" to any prompts during the installation process.
After the installation, Hiawatha will start automatically. However, we can ensure that it is running by executing the following command:
sudo systemctl status hiawatha
If Hiawatha is running successfully, the output will indicate that the service is active and running.
To access the Hiawatha web server, open a web browser and enter the server's IP address followed by the port number (default port is 80).
http://your_server_ip:80/
If everything has been installed correctly, you'll see the welcome message displayed on the web page.
