FlatPress is a lightweight blogging platform that doesn’t require a database to function. This tutorial will guide you through the installation process of FlatPress on Void Linux.
Before we start, please make sure that your system is up to date and that you have access to the command-line interface.
First, you need to download the latest version of FlatPress from the official website. You can do this by running the following command in your terminal:
wget https://github.com/flatpress/flatpress/releases/download/v1.1.2/flatpress-1.1.2.tar.gz
Once the download is complete, extract the archive using the following command:
tar -xvf flatpress-1.1.2.tar.gz
This will extract the contents of the archive to a new directory called flatpress-1.1.2.
Now that you have extracted the FlatPress archive, you need to move the contents of the flatpress-1.1.2 directory to your web directory. In Void Linux, the web directory is located at /var/www/htdocs. You can do this using the following command:
sudo mv flatpress-1.1.2/* /var/www/htdocs/
Before you can use FlatPress, you need to give the web server permission to write to the fp-content directory. To do this, run the following command:
sudo chown -R http:http /var/www/htdocs/fp-content
Now that FlatPress is installed and configured, you can access it by navigating to your website in a web browser. If you have installed FlatPress on a local machine, you can access it by navigating to http://localhost/ in your web browser.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed and configured FlatPress on Void Linux.
