Nhost is a backend as a service platform that allows developers to quickly build web and mobile applications without worrying about infrastructure. This tutorial will show you how to install Nhost on Void Linux.
Before you begin, make sure that you have the following:
sudo xbps-install -Suy
sudo xbps-install -Sy git curl postgresql13
curl https://install.nhost.io | bash
You will be prompted to enter your API key. If you don't have an API key, you can sign up for a free account at nhost.io.
Once the installation completes, you can verify that Nhost is properly installed by running the following command:
nhost -v
nhost init
Follow the prompts to create your project. You can choose a name for your project, select a programming language, and configure your database.
Once your project is created, you can start the Nhost development server by running the following command:
nhost dev
In this tutorial, we learned how to install Nhost on Void Linux and create a new project. We also started a development server and learned how to use Nhost to build web and mobile applications.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
