In this tutorial, we will guide you through the installation process of Novu on Void Linux.
Before installing any new software, it is always recommended to update the system to the latest version. Open the terminal and execute the following command:
sudo xbps-install -Suy
This command will update the package database, upgrade existing packages, and install any available updates.
In order to install Novu, we need to install some dependencies first. Execute the following command in the terminal:
sudo xbps-install -Syu git npm nodejs-lts
This command will install Git, NPM (Node Package Manager), and the LTS version of Node.js.
Next, we need to clone the Novu repository from GitHub. Execute the following command:
git clone https://github.com/novu-co/novu.git
This command will download the Novu source code to your local machine.
Now, we need to install the dependencies required by Novu. Navigate to the Novu directory by executing the following command:
cd novu
Inside the Novu directory, execute the following command:
npm install
This command will install all the necessary dependencies for Novu.
To start Novu, execute the following command:
npm start
This command will launch Novu in your default web browser.
