Stretto is an open-source music notation software. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to install Stretto on Void Linux using the command-line interface.
Before proceeding with the installation, ensure you have the following:
Open the Linux terminal, and enter the following command to install Git:
sudo xbps-install -S git
Next, install JDK (Java Development Kit) with the following command:
sudo xbps-install -S openjdk8
To install Stretto, we first need to clone its repository from Github. Enter the following command in the terminal:
git clone https://github.com/benkaiser/stretto.git
Next, navigate to the downloaded directory and build the software using Maven. Enter the following commands:
cd stretto
mvn package
Once the build is complete, run the program using the following command:
java -jar target/stretto-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
After following these steps, you should have successfully installed and launched Stretto on Void Linux. You can now use it to create and edit music notation sheets.
