Attendize is an open-source event management and ticketing platform. It is easy to use and customizable. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the steps to install Attendize on Windows 10.
This tutorial assumes that you have the following tools installed on your machine:
Open your terminal or command prompt and navigate to the directory where you want to install Attendize. Then, run the following command:
git clone https://github.com/Attendize/Attendize.git
This will clone the repository into your current directory.
Navigate to the cloned Attendize directory using the following command:
cd Attendize
Once inside the directory, run the following command to install the required dependencies:
composer install --no-dev --optimize-autoloader
This command will download and install all the required dependencies for Attendize.
Create a new database in your MySQL server and remember the database name, username, and password. You will need it in the next step.
In the Attendize directory, copy and rename the .env.example
file to .env
by running the following command:
cp .env.example .env
Open the .env
file in any text editor of your choice and modify the following lines to match your MySQL configuration:
DB_CONNECTION=mysql
DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
DB_PORT=3306
DB_DATABASE=your_database_name
DB_USERNAME=your_database_username
DB_PASSWORD=your_database_password
Save the changes and close the file.
Run the following command to generate a new application key:
php artisan key:generate
This will update the .env
file with a new application key.
Run the following command to create the required tables in your database:
php artisan migrate
This will create all the required tables in your database.
Finally, you can serve Attendize locally by running the following command:
php artisan serve
This will start a local PHP server on http://localhost:8000/
.
You can now visit http://localhost:8000/
in your web browser to see Attendize in action.
