Prerequisites

Step 1: Install Apache Web Server

Step 4: Configure PHP and Apache
- Open the Apache configuration file (httpd.conf), located in the Apache installation directory (usually C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\conf).
- Add the following lines at the end of the file:
LoadModule php5_module "C:/php/php5apache2_4.dll"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
PHPIniDir "C:/php"
Note: Make sure to change the path to PHP installation directory if it is different on your system.
- Save and close the file.
- Restart the Apache web server.
Step 5: Download and Install Collective Access - Providence
- Open your web browser and navigate to the Collective Access website (https://collectiveaccess.org/).
- Click on the link to download the latest version of Collective Access - Providence for Windows.
- Once the download is complete, extract the zip file to your desired installation directory (e.g., C:\CA-Providence).
- Open the configuration file (ca_setup.php) located in the installation directory.
- Enter your MySQL database information (username, password, and database name) and other settings as required.
- Save and close the file.
- Open your web browser and navigate to the Collective Access installation directory (e.g., http://localhost/CA-Providence).
- Follow the installation wizard to complete the installation process.
