Cowyo is a simple wiki that allows you to post articles on the web built on Google's Go language. Here are the steps to install it on your Windows 10 computer:
Open the Windows Command Prompt or PowerShell.
Clone the Cowyo repository from GitHub by running the following command in the terminal.
git clone https://github.com/schollz/cowyo.git
cd cowyo
go build
.\cowyo.exe
You should now be able to access the Cowyo server by opening a web browser and navigating to http://localhost:8050
.
By default, Cowyo runs on port 8050
, but you can change this by specifying the port number when starting the server. If you want to use a different port number, run the following command:
.\cowyo.exe -port <port-number>
Replace <port-number>
with the desired port number.
Cowyo is now installed on your Windows 10 machine. You can now use it to create, edit and publish your articles on the web. If you have any issues or questions, refer to the Cowyo documentation on GitHub.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
