How to install Feedpushr on Windows 10

Feedpushr is a lightweight RSS aggregator and reader developed in Go language. It can be easily compiled and installed on Windows 10 by following these simple steps:

Prerequisites

• Go 1.14 or higher installed on your system
• Git installed on your system

Step 1: Clone the Feedpushr repository

• Open a command prompt window
• Navigate to the directory where you want to install Feedpushr
• Run the following command to clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/ncarlier/feedpushr.git

Step 2: Compile the Feedpushr Binary

• Navigate to the root directory of the cloned repository
• Run the following command to compile the binary:

go build -o feedpushr main.go

Step 3: Install and Configure the Feedpushr

• Copy the feedpushr binary to a location of your choice on your system.
• Copy the configuration file config.yaml.sample and rename it to config.yaml
• Open the config.yaml file in a text editor and edit it based on your preferences. For example, you can add your RSS feeds to the feeds section of the file.
• Save the changes made to the configuration file.

Step 4: Run the Feedpushr

• Open a command prompt window
• Navigate to the directory where you copied the feedpushr binary
• Run the following command to start the feedpushr:

./feedpushr

• Feedpushr will start running and start collecting RSS feed data from the configured sources.

Congratulations! You have installed and configured the Feedpushr on your Windows 10 system. You can now open a web browser and go to http://localhost:8080 to view the feed data collected by the feedpushr.
