How to Install Microgit on Windows 10

Step 1: Download Microgit Installation Files

1. Go to https://github.com/microgit-com/microgit
2. Click on the Download button to download the installation files to your computer.

Step 2: Extract the Installation Package

1. Once the download is complete, right-click on the downloaded file and select Extract All.
2. Choose the destination folder for the extracted files and click Extract.

Step 3: Install Microgit

1. Open the extracted folder and double-click on the Microgit.exe file.
2. Click on Next to start the installation process.
3. Read the license agreement and click on I Agree if you agree with the terms.
4. Choose the installation directory or leave it as the default and click on Next.
5. Click on Install to start the installation process.
6. Wait for the installation process to finish.
7. Click on Finish to complete the installation.

Step 4: Verify the Installation

1. Open the Windows Command Prompt by pressing Windows key + R and typing cmd in the Run box, then click on OK.
2. In the Command Prompt, type microgit and press Enter.
3. If Microgit is installed correctly, you will see the Microgit logo and the message: microgit: A new way to collaborate on code.
4. You can also run the command microgit version to check the installed version of Microgit.
