In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing PartKeepr on your Windows 10 operating system. PartKeepr is a web-based inventory management system that allows you to organize and track your electronic components, products, and tools.
Before we start with the installation process, please make sure that you have the following:
The first step is to download the latest stable version of PartKeepr from https://www.partkeepr.org.
Once you have downloaded the file, extract it to a directory of your choice on your computer.
Next, configure Apache to use the directory with PartKeepr. Open the httpd.conf file located in the Apache/conf directory and make the following changes:
DocumentRoot "C:/path/to/partkeepr"
<Directory "C:/path/to/partkeepr">
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
Require all granted
</Directory>
Replace the "C:/path/to/partkeepr" with the actual path where you extracted PartKeepr in step 2.
Create a new database for PartKeepr in MySQL. You can use phpMyAdmin or any MySQL tool to create a database. Once created, grant all privileges to a new user for the database.
Edit the file "app/config/parameters.yml" and replace the database configuration section with the following:
parameters:
database_host: 127.0.0.1
database_port: null
database_name: partkeepr
database_user: username
database_password: password
Replace the "database_name", "database_user", and "database_password" with the ones you created in step 4.
Install all the dependencies required by PartKeepr by running the following command in the command prompt:
composer install
Make sure that "composer" is installed on your system. If not, download it from https://getcomposer.org/ and follow the installation instructions.
Run the PartKeepr installer by opening a command prompt and navigating to the directory with PartKeepr.
