Pritunl is an open-source VPN server and management system that can be used for private internet access. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing Pritunl on Windows 10.
Open your web browser and navigate to the Pritunl website at http://pritunl.com/.
Click on the "Download" button located on the top right corner of the homepage to download the Pritunl Windows installer.
Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file (pritunl_windows.zip) in your Downloads folder and extract it to a directory of your choice, e.g., C:\Program Files\Pritunl.
Open the extracted folder, and you'll see an executable file named Pritunl.exe
. Double-click on this file to run the Pritunl installation wizard.
On the welcome screen, click the "Next" button to continue.
Read and accept the license agreement, and then click on the "Next" button.
Choose the installation directory where you want to install the Pritunl software. You can leave the default installation path as is, or choose a different directory. Once you've selected the installation directory, click on the "Next" button.
Select the components you want to install. We recommend that you leave all the components selected by default. Then click on the "Next" button.
On the "Additional Tasks" screen, select the options you want. You can choose to create a desktop shortcut, add Pritunl to the start menu, and add Pritunl to the system path. Once you've made your selections, click on the "Next" button.
Finally, click on the "Install" button to begin the installation process. The installation may take a few minutes depending on your system configuration.
Once the installation process is complete, click on the "Finish" button to exit the installation wizard.
To launch Pritunl, go to the installation directory and double-click on the Pritunl.exe
file.
Once Pritunl is launched, you can access it through your web browser by navigating to https://localhost
.
Follow the prompts to create a login account to access Pritunl.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Pritunl on your Windows 10 system. You can now configure and manage your VPN connections through the Pritunl management console.
