How to Install Redash on Windows 10

Following are the steps to install Redash on Windows 10:

Prerequisites

Before we proceed with the installation of Redash, we need to ensure that the following software is installed on the system:

  1. Git Bash
  2. Docker
  3. Docker-compose

Installation Steps

  1. Open the Git Bash terminal on your Windows 10 system.

  2. Clone the Redash repository from GitHub using the following command:

    git clone https://github.com/getredash/redash.git

  3. Navigate to the cloned Redash directory using the following command:

    cd redash

  4. Open the docker-compose.yml file using any text editor.

  5. Find the line that starts with image: redash/redash: and change the version to the latest stable version. For example, if the latest stable version is 10.0.0, change the line to:

    image: redash/redash:10.0.0.b4957

  6. Save the file and close the text editor.

  7. Run the following command to build the Redash Docker image:

    docker-compose build

This step may take several minutes to complete.

  8. Run the following command to start the Redash services:

    docker-compose up

This step may also take several minutes to complete.

  9. Once the services have started, open a web browser and go to http://localhost:5000 to access the Redash UI.

  10. To stop the services, press Ctrl + C in the Git Bash terminal.

That's it! You have successfully installed Redash on your Windows 10 system.

If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!

Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
