Installation

  2. Click on the download button located on the homepage. Alternatively, you can directly download Syncthing from https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing/releases/latest.

  3. From the download page, select the appropriate download for your Windows 10 version. The download will either be a zip file or an executable file.

  4. Once the download is complete, browse to the downloaded file, double-click on it to run the installation wizard.

  5. Follow the installation wizard instructions to complete the installation.

  6. After installation, locate the Syncthing icon in the system tray (near the clock). Right-click on it to open the Syncthing window.

  7. In the Syncthing web interface, click on the "Add Remote Device" button to set up device discovery.

  8. Copy the device ID from the window and share it with the person or device you want to synchronize with.

  9. On the remote device, repeat steps 1-4 to install Syncthing.

  10. Start Syncthing on each device and then copy the device ID from the remote device into the "Remote Device ID" field on the local device.

  11. Click "Save" to add the remote device.

  12. Finally, click on the "Edit" option in the "Folders" section to select the folders that you want to sync. By default, Syncthing will create a new folder named "Sync" in the user's home directory.
