How to Install Thunderbird on Windows 10

  1. Go to the official Mozilla Thunderbird website at https://www.thunderbird.net/ and download the setup file for Windows.
  2. Once the setup file has finished downloading, double-click on it to begin the installation process.
  3. If you see a security warning asking if you want to allow the app to make changes to your device, click "Yes."
  4. On the Thunderbird Setup window, click "Next" to begin the installation process.
  5. Read the Mozilla Thunderbird license agreement and click "I accept the terms of the license agreement" to continue.
  6. Choose the installation location for Thunderbird. Unless you have a specific reason to change it, the default location should be fine. Click "Next" when you are done.
  7. Choose the components you want to install. By default, all components are selected. If you want to save space, you can deselect some of the components that you do not need. Click "Next" when you are finished.
  8. Choose the start menu folder for Thunderbird. Again, unless you have a specific reason to change it, the default location should be fine. Click "Next" when you are done.
  9. Choose whether to create a desktop icon for Thunderbird. If you plan to use Thunderbird frequently, it may be helpful to have an icon on your desktop. Click "Next" when you are finished.
  10. Review your installation settings on the Ready to Install window. If you need to make any changes, click the "Back" button. If everything looks good, click "Install" to begin the installation process.
  11. Wait while Thunderbird is installed. This should only take a few moments.
  12. Once the installation is complete, you will see the Completing the Mozilla Thunderbird Setup Wizard window. Click "Finish" to close the wizard.
  13. Thunderbird is now installed on your Windows 10 computer. You can find it in the start menu or on your desktop if you chose to create a desktop icon.
