Installing WeTTY on Windows 10

WeTTY is an open-source project that allows users to access their terminal from a browser. This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing WeTTY on Windows 10.

Prerequisites

Before you can install WeTTY, you need to make sure you have the following programs installed on your system:

Step 1: Clone the WeTTY Repository

  1. Open the command prompt by pressing Windows + R and typing in cmd.exe
  2. Navigate to the folder where you want to install WeTTY by typing cd foldername into the command prompt (replace foldername with the name of your folder)
  3. Clone the WeTTY repository by typing git clone https://github.com/butlerx/wetty.git into the command prompt

Step 2: Install WeTTY

  1. Navigate to the WeTTY directory that you just cloned by typing cd wetty into the command prompt
  2. Install WeTTY dependencies by typing npm install into the command prompt

Step 3: Start WeTTY

  1. Start WeTTY by typing npm start into the command prompt
  2. Open your web browser and type in localhost:3000
  3. You should now see a login screen. Enter your username and password, and you will be redirected to your terminal.
