This tutorial will guide you through the steps to install WikiSuite on a Windows 10 computer.
Before we proceed with the installation, you need to make sure that your computer meets the following prerequisites:
Follow the steps below to install WikiSuite:
Download the latest version of WikiSuite from the official website: https://wikisuite.org/download
Extract the downloaded file to your desired location.
Locate the extracted folder, and open it.
Inside the folder, you will see another folder called "wikisuite". Move or copy this folder to the "htdocs" directory of XAMPP installation. It should be located in "C:\xampp\htdocs"
Open a web browser and navigate to "http://localhost/phpmyadmin/". This will open the phpMyAdmin interface.
Click on the "New" button to create a new database.
Give a name to your new database and click on the "Create" button.
Navigate to the "Privileges" tab from the top menu, and click on the "Add a new User" button.
Fill in the required details for user login credentials and leave the "Host name" field as it is.
Choose "Global Privileges" and select all the options under it. Then, click on the "Go" button at the bottom.
Open your web browser again and navigate to "http://localhost/wikisuite/install". This will start the installation wizard.
Click on the "Start installation" button to proceed.
On the next page, the installation wizard will automatically detect the required database settings. Simply click on the "Next" button to proceed.
In the next step, you will be prompted to enter the database details you had created earlier in Step 7. Enter the details correctly and click on the "Next" button.
On the next page, enter your preferred admin login credentials and click on the "Next" button.
The installation wizard will now install the required components on your system. This may take a few minutes depending on your system specifications.
After the installation is complete, click on the "Finish installation" button. This will take you to the login page.
Enter your admin login details that you had created in Step 15, and click on the "Login" button.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed WikiSuite on your Windows 10 computer.
